Emissions Reporting

Annual reporting of atmospheric emissions and quantities of wastes generated by an industry is required by municipal, provincial and federal authorities. MRS & Associates (MRSA) can assist your company by preparing the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) report as required by Environment Canada if the facility uses one of the more than 250 listed chemicals in quantities greater than 10 tonnes annually. If your company meets one of several criteria defined in the NPRI reporting guidelines, then your company is obliged to report the annual emissions and wastes generated. If your company is Quebec based and generates hazardous waste material, then there may be an obligation to provide the Quebec Ministère du développement durable, de l’environnement et des parcs with a report of the types and quantities of wastes generated including where these wastes were sent. If your company emits to the atmosphere and is located in the City of Montreal, there may also be an obligation to report the types and quantities of emissions generated by the facility to the municipal authorities.
